This is a dilemma, for many households, and for many families.

When we recognize, that Christ is Lord, and that he died, for our sins, and we totally make a commitment, to serve God, and to walk in his truths, and change from our old ways, not everyone is going to understand, or support that.

When your family, does not accept it, it is especially difficult.  I do sympathize with you.

But, if they are not Christians, it is to be expected.  You see, this is a spiritual battle.  And when someone, who does not know Christ, to be totally blunt, in this perspective, one must know, their spirits, are dominated by satan. Because they do not know better.

You better put on the armor, of God, because the fiery darts, will be tossed here and there, and you need to quench them, by walking in love, by forgiving, by understanding, by knowing truth, that has set you free. Ephesians 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. (See what Ephesians 6 also says about families and what the armor is)

By wearing the armor of God, you need to see it for yourself, and not walk into even small traps the enemy, will put before you, to stop the plan of God for yourself, and yes, for your family member.

Remember, unless, the Lord, builds the house, we labor in vain.  Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except theLord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.  Psalm 127:1

So if you are even married to someone who does not believe there will be problems.  Big problems. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.  Mark 3:25.

And well, to avoid that problem from the beginning, we should marry other Christians. Marry someone, who is equally yoked, with you as a believer, to avoid that problem.  II Corinthians 6:14 Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:  for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?  And what communion hath light with darkness?

Christ told us, and warned us that their would be division.  Matthew 12: 51-53  Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Well do not give up, and do not stop from serving God, for their is an answer.  Yes, we cannot stand, or have unity, without Christ as the foundation.  But, God is able to turn this around.  For the wife, or the husband, who has a mate, who is not a Christian, can be saved.  I Corinthians 7:14 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart.

Did you notice, that last part, that says, if the unbelieving person, departs let them depart.  Well, that means you let them go.  Whether it is a mate, or someone in your family.  We cannot make people be Christians, it may be, where, that family member, will find Christ later, but you need to keep peace, in your heart, and your home.  So be at peace yourself, if they depart.

YES, pray, pray, pray, for your family, and loved one, who does not know Christ.   DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON THEM!  The thing is, and I have seen this in my own family situation, is that religion, can really mess peoples heads up, and they don’t see, the relationship you have with Christ.  Because all of the teachings, all of the things they may have learned is totally based on religion.

Or it may mean, because they have no background in Gods truth, the Bible etc.  They may be turned off, to know Gods truth, because they see things intellectually, and not spiritually.  Pray, that God will send his truth to soften the hard ground, of their souls.

But pray for them.  And pray at meals etc.  Bring Gods spirit, in your home, and at the table.  Go to church, even if they do not go.  REMEMBER, NEVER, EVER, TO DENY WHO YOU ARE, IN CHRIST, BECAUSE OF UNBELIEVERS.  But invite them.  Love them, as Christ loves you.  Show patience, understanding, continue to read your Bible, etc.  and then…Let your light so shine, and do not put it under a bushel.

For there will come a time, where they will be saved.  Just as long as you do not give up…..Advice for myself and you.

Keep on trusting what the word of God says.  He will make a way…..He is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6……so stay in your faith.  Keep believing in Jesus.

Just My Thoughts, and with love….Elena Ramirez

ACTS 16:31

Father, most holy God, there is no one like you, no one.  And I know, in my heart of hearts, that life without you, would be hell.  Thats why I pray for us, and all our families.  For the person, who may be reading this, and whose family member, may not accept you.  We pray for their souls.  Lord, give strength to this Christian.  To walk in love, to be patient, to not be offended.  To continue in their walk with you.  No matter what.  We pray for our children, that they would be raised in your ways, as your word tells us to do that, and to teach them your commandments.  Lord, I pray for the spouse that does not know you, that truly, he or she, would see truth, to set them free.  To know from their spouse, who serves you.   That you are God Almighty, and you are life, and life abundantly.   Lord, it is obvious, in our world today, in society, many reject your truth, your word, and they deny you.  But Lord, as believers make us strong in our faith, in our convictions of who you are, and so we ask that you show yourself mighty on behalf of our families, and ourselves.  Lord.  bring the lost family member to your throne.  Lord, your word says you will.  I believe.  I thank you, for my salvation and that your truth has set me free.  Lord, once we know this, their is no comparision.  I will never go back, to what I was.  In Jesus name, I believe that for all my family members as well.  In Jesus name,  Amen
