My Thanksgiving Thoughts for 2017
by Christian Author Elena Ramirez
It’s a day before Thanksgiving, and I am grateful to God. This year has been tough on me for a few reasons.
Its been a struggle in many ways. I have been challenged by life, by health, by friends, by enemies, by finances, by my own habits, and sometimes, you just have to grow. But God has been with me, and guiding me through it. I am grateful. Thankful, stirring up my faith.
I have grown. And I truly believe I have in many ways. I have had to go to the enemies camp and take back my respect. Maybe someone does not understand that. But when you trust people, and they immaturely reject you, or do not honor you, you stand up for yourself. And you take back what someone has hurt, and abused. Respect.
You know when you are a child, you trust people to take care of you. To be sensitive to those things and you need to learn. And when they abuse that, and you don’t know the difference, you accept it. But when you grow up, you see how perhaps, you were abused, and you want to break spiritual curses, or cycles, that hurt you. I think I am in the process of breaking some of these cycles, or curses, because I see, I am the Kings Daughter. I see, I am the head, and not the tail.
But when you see, people, especially people, you esteemed highly, and they have no regard for honoring you in these ways, you gain strength, and walk away.
So its sad, yet bitter sweet when you rise above it. But growing, is the goal for me any way. I want to keep learning, and growing, for Christ.
I have had to let go, and let God. In a lot of ways…. For other reasons, as well…
These are things, that this year, I have seen, I need to be careful in. With my walk with the Lord, and with others. And its been hard. Its been sorrowful, its been eye opening though.
And I do trust God, I am so grateful for my family, and the true friends I do have. I am thankful for my Salvation, for repentance, for God teaching me that I need to trust Him.
But I have learned, in my own giving of Thanks, to be grateful for little, and big things. To be careful not to get cold in my walk with the Lord. To be careful, even if I vent, not to hate anybody. To pray more. I have learned a lot, that I cannot even put into words.
To remember, though, not everybody takes these things to heart. So my red flag is up….
To look, and see what God’s Holy King James word says. And to try and obey. As a disciple of Christ, I have learned to discipline myself.
But as I think on these things, that I am grateful for, I am reminded, no matter how hard life can be, or how blessed one may be, one must draw closer to God. This has been my lesson it seems this year.
To seek Him more, to obey more, to be careful more, not to open spiritual doors, that are not of Him. And through it all thanking Him, and praising Him. And I make sure, I do. I will not neglect this, by being passive, or not letting my light shine for Christ. I try, and thats one thing, I pursue, to give Him glory.
I am someone, who stays away from spiritual entities that offend God. I honor God, and only God. In fear of God.
And I am careful what I speak…. I know more then ever, the power of life and death in my tongue.
But I know, I cannot be indifferent. I cannot be cold, or lukewarm in my walk. I cannot take God for granted, or people, or life for granted. I must pursue His Kingdom, in His righteousness.
Repentance clears the slate, even if I don’t even understand. But I must pursue God.
Revelation 3, from my King James, tells us, that He knows whether we are cold or hot. He knows if we are lukewarm, He will spit us out. He tells us, to be careful with the blessings we do have, because some who are rich, think they do not need Him.
They don’t know that they are miserable, poor and blind. He counsels us to to seek Him. Because He will rebuke us when we are wrong. He stands at the door, and knocks, and if we hear Him, He will come and dine with us.
Tomorrow we feast. As a tradition here in the United States. Thanksgiving day, is a time to reflect. And Christ is invited in my home, my humble home, but where love is, and where grateful hearts, reflect on His love, and goodness. THANKFUL!
Some do not have these blessings, and its sad.
But, I am just thankful to God. I am thankful for everything He has provided for me, and I am even thankful for some things I don’t have.
Learning to be content, is peace. And there is no peace with the wicked, as scripture says. So, I pursue Him, in this world, that does not always seem to give love in return. He is the vine, and I am merely a branch, but I can grow in Christ. And produce fruit, worthy of His Kingdom. But I make sure I stay on the vine with Christ.
And I pursue Him, grateful, for who He is. With God all things are possible, and I never let go of Him, in these thoughts of mine, because all things do work together for the good who love Him.
So I am grateful this year, as I surmise on everything, and I praise Him.
Happy Thanksgiving…With much love, in Christ,
Much love, Elena Ramirez
Check out my new blog…
What I am about to tell you is truth, but some are going to get angry. Because they stand on one scripture, but they forget to look in the rest of the Bible. And I am talking about a King James bible.
This scripture, many take to heart, and they don’t think anything separates us from Christ. They stand on it, and sadly they don’t see that there is more, that can separate us from Christ. There is more to it….
WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? SHALL TRIBULATION, OR DISTRESS, OR PERSECUTION OR FAMINE, OR NAKEDNESS, OR PERIL OR SWORD? NAY IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS, THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US. ROMANS 8:35-36. KJV.
So, they will argue they will debate it. They will twist it, and look for the loop hole in it.
To defend that they can sin, that once saved is always, saved. But its not. They think their salvation is secure. And they think they don’t have to worry about it. Wrong.
Friend, sin, separates us from God. We serve a Holy God. One without blemish. And yes we can by the blood of Jesus, by repentance, by going to the cross, we can receive holiness. We can receive the promise of that above scripture.
But if sin, is there, and it is not repented. That scripture will not give you that promise, unless you repent. Because if you have sinned, after receiving Christ, you will make your salvation null and void. People do not like hearing that, but even in Ezekiel 33, we are told, to warn each other, and that includes a righteous person.
Please look at this carefully. Sometimes, we can miss it. And there are many reasons, why we can miss it. Perhaps, your Sunday school teacher did not address this, or the pastor. Maybe you are using a corrupted bible, that has translated words, and meanings, so you don’t see it.
But sin, separates us from God.
BEHOLD THE LORDS HAND IS NOT SHORTENED, THAT IT CANNOT SAVE; NEITHER HIS EAR HEAVY, THAT IT CANNOT HEAR; BUT YOUR INIQUITIES HAVE SEPARATED BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR GOD, AND YOUR SINS, HAVE HID HIS FACE FROM YOU, THAT HE WILL NOT HEAR. Isaiah 59:1-2. KJV.
The only cure for that is to repent.
AND I GAVE HER SPACE TO REPENT OF HER FORNICATION; AND SHE REPENTED NOT. BEHOLD I WILL CAST HER INTO A BED AND THEM THAT COMMIT ADULTERY WITH HER INTO GREAT TRIBULATION, EXCEPT THEY REPENT OF THEIR DEEDS. Revelation 2:21-22. KJV.
Hope this helps you. Maybe you repented, when you first accepted Christ. But repentance, dear friends, should even be daily. Because we all can miss it. We all fall short of the glory of God. We all sin, even when we don’t think we are. Thats pride, if you think you are above all that. Seriously.
Blessings, Elena Ramirez
I know, I have written a few things on forgiveness, but I want to take this in a different direction. And that is learning to release someone in forgiveness, by telling them so.
Have you ever apologized to someone, and you know you made a mistake, and so you apologized, but they did not acknowledge your apology? They ignored you, or remained silent. Or still continued blaming you in unforgiveness?
This has happened to me a lot. And many times, I just walked away sad, because what I really wanted to hear, was I do forgive you.
I learned, to say, I was sorry, at a very, very early age. I had a strict mom, and I wanted to please her. Now, I was not a model child by any means. And I still am not. Even as a child of God. I make mistakes. In judgment, I do often in fact. I pray not to do so, but sometimes, well, I do.
I pray, God guide me in this, but one thing I have learned, is not to carry any kind of guilt, or condemnation, from myself, or others, or even from God. So I repent first to God. Then I apologize to others. I humble myself, even sometimes, when I am right. But…
If it does not feel right, I know, as an unction from God to release it.
But there are people, I love, people I admire, people I respect, that may not see it the same way as I do.
And so what can I do? But just pray for them myself.
You see, I believe there is a power, in releasing someone in forgiveness. It takes away pride. It takes away, any kind of self control in the matter, that can be manipulative, to have someone indebted to you. I know where that spirit comes, and I get right to the root of it. It comes from the devil.
I do not want to be indebted to the enemy in any way. In even a legal way, where he can accuse me or, try to take my blessings. I don’t want to be indebted to anyone, nor to myself, in the sense, I want to carry a grudge. Because if you do not release someone in forgiveness, you will carry a grudge.
You have not taken the final step, to release that person, from that offense, so you will ponder on it, and you may grow a seed of hate.
How naive we all can be. By not forgiving someone, or releasing them in forgiveness we have to know what scripture says, and God says if we do not forgive our brother, our friend, etc. He will not forgive us.
MATTHEW 6:15 BUT IF YE FORGIVE NOT MEN THEIR TRESPASSES, NEITHER WILL YOUR FATHER FORGIVE YOUR TRESPASSES.
I don’t want that. I don’t want that hanging over me. Its strange, but lately, for whatever reason God has been showing me this…. I have been thinking, or dreaming of people. I have known in the past. Those that were even family, or friends, that are no longer friends. They are not in my life. And I just have had a sense, God was trying to get me to repent, and to forgive them. So I have. I may not have thought, I had not forgiven them. But you know God knows our hearts better then we do. Now, I cannot contact them, but God knows.
But, I think we can close the circle, when we have a chance. When we have a chance to ask someone to forgive us, or to even find a person, and say…..I forgive you. Or say. I am sorry.
But I really want to impress upon you, to release them by telling them you forgive them. As they apologize. And we all know…
More times, people do not apologize. Even if they don’t ask for it. Tell them you forgive them. Why? Because you don’t want that garbage in you. That can grow into hate. Maybe somehow you will remind them, that this is what God wants for us all.
What a release, it is. What power, you feel from heaven, above. A cleansing. I cannot explain it. I don’t know all the benefits of it. But I look at it as someone who was in chains, and now no longer in chains.
And in order to keep those chains off, I keep forgiving. I keep asking for forgiveness. From God and others. In fact I do this daily, because I still make mistakes.
You see, I actually do care, and I do want to be accountable to God. To others. I want to work out my salvation, clear of unforgiveness.
I think of how many times, an apology would have blessed me, comforted me, soothed me, and even proved love. And when I did not get it, a wound, may be healed. Because I know what God says….
But it is always tender to the touch. I have enough scars about me, to know this to be true. So grateful for the armor of God, to quench the fiery darts, even when I am not released in forgiveness.
I hope this blesses you, much Love, Elena Ramirez
Yes, I do refuse to tell you God loves you the way you are. Because it is sloppy agape. Every one says, it, but where is the strong Bible teachings to have fear of God, or to obey? I don’t see it.
I did not see it, till I really saw the error of my own ways. But because I was at the bottom of the barrel.
Many people are there, as well, and they don’t know how to have faith, or to get out of that barrel. It can be too late for some! Tomorrow is not promised to any of us!
And that is another misconception. Because we should all live for God!
Yet we know, that God loves us, from John 3:16. He does love the whole world. But I refuse to tell you only that, because I see thoughts that say God loves you the way you are. That you don’t have to prove anything….
Oh they are so sweet in thought…..sugar coated.
But they are wrong in the sense they are deceiving. Because they do not stimulate you to grow. Or for you to see your sins and to repent. Even high profile ministries tell you just to accept Jesus and that’s it.
No!!!!! There is more to it. You have to learn, and unlearn bad habits.
You have to seek a holy word. You have to pray. We serve a mighty God, and his ways are not our ways. Do your part….And that’s why I warn people to use a King James. That has not been changed by mans thoughts! Work out your salvation with trembling and fear. Truth!
I am not going to give people a tickling of ears, or sugar coated gospel. The world has been deceived by the enemy. And where is the truth, that we need?
We are not getting it from the spiritual leaders we have. I am sorry, they are in LaLa land. Money, the prosperity message, has deceived so many. Watered down gospels, that have been corrupted by people, has deceived this generation.
You see I am from both generations, born in the 50’s, and taught the fear of God. And this generation from the late seventies, picked up those bible versions, that have corrupted truth. So I do see, the discrepancies. I see the lies! I see the deception! No God does not love us like this! He has better plans for us, if we would wake up!
More then ever, we need to search, and see our own hearts, and see Gods heart. We need to obey. We need to humble ourselves in the sight of God and man. We need each other. The body of Christ needs each other. But there is so much division. I don’t see the love.
Well I love you enough to tell you, yes God loves you, but not the way you are. I refuse to tell you that. Because if I just left it like that, you would not grow. And I tell you that, because every day, we should try and learn to be closer to Christ. As we grow on that vine. People who do not try and learn, are their worst enemies.
We will never, ever be good enough, unless that blood of Jesus cleanses us. The sacrifice of Christ was too great, and holy, and must be honored.
But that is a heart matter, that has to be taken to the cross in obedience for what Christ did, and it is not lip service. Wake up people! Are you going to be deceived by the enemy? The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom!
And just one more thought, that may just jolt you! Saved is not always saved. Without that repentance! You are lost! Your soul will go to hell. God does not condone sin. It is called being a backslider. Repent. I warn you in love. I want to see you in heaven. Read Ezekiel 33, from a King James. Yes God can take our names off of the Lambs book of life. Don’t be fooled thinking you are o.k. And that God loves you the way you are! Don’t!!!
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8 KJV)
Oh well, maybe somebody will read this, and see the truth! But I will write it and speak it if God opens a door for me….
Check out this post, it may just open your eyes. The reasons why I am so adamant to defend and promote the King James Bible.
