DEALING WITH TRUST ISSUES AS A CHRISTIAN ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

IMG_0002.jpgDo you deal with trust issues?   I am just talking about in life.  But even as a Christian, one can have issues, and challenges in these matters of trust.

See, I am a Christian, and I had to learn how to trust God, from the beginning.  I grew up, with a very good mother, who loved me, but she had “major” trust issues.

She had been damaged by many, and she trusted no one.  So she was suspicious  and very on guard.  So I grew up with that, yet, I knew it was unhealthy and very off balance, for lack of a better word, to be so untrusting.

Because it can hinder relationships.  It can cause fear, and God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.

So, I learned to trust God.

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART:  AND LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING.  Proverbs 3:5.  KJV.

Look at this scripture, its very instructional.  And thats what Gods holy King James word will do, it will instruct, it comforts, it guides, it leads us closer to God, to even understand.  But its holy word.  Other bible versions, are someone else’s understanding not God, by the changing of it, and the words they use.  They make it no longer holy. Or anointed, and you really want the full power, and affect of holy word, from God Himself.

But as you look at this scripture, we cannot, lean into our own understanding.  Get that quick, when it comes to “trusting.”

We have to trust God, we have to do so, completely, without reservations, without question to God, though He is gracious enough to answer us, but something about having our faith, to “trust” God, releases something in us, that I call strength, and courage.

Life is hard, and when people let you down, especially when you trust them, you do learn lessons in life.

I had a friend, who I loved dearly.  I never thought this person, would react the way she did, or do the things that she did in matters of respect.  Including her daughter.  Because I thought, I was part of the family, because of our friendship, we had in Christ.

But she hurt me.  And I really don’t want to get into all the details, or go on about it.  I think I have here, and its really an old issue, and I do want to be healed.  So I want to be careful about opening up an old wound.

But it affected my trust.  And I even see myself, looking at other people that way, and think, are you going to hurt me too?  I have, done so, already, since this happened, and its not good.

And I don’t want to blame others, for my experiences, in matters of trust.  But, I find, myself, trusting God more.  Asking for wisdom, and guidance, because I felt burned.

I don’t think I can trust anybody like I did her, the damage is done.  Sure I forgive, but something changed in my heart, and well, like I said, I was brought up with that, negative energy, so I know, only God, can help me.  So its more of a challenge, now then ever.

Have you ever noticed, the enemy tries to attack you in things, you have experienced?  Like a cycle it tries to come back.  Well I plead the blood of Jesus, aware, and commit to trust Him more.  To submit to God, resist the devil so he can flee.

I don’t know where you are or if this will help.  But I share it, I write it, because I know who God is, and only He can help us with our issues of trust.

As a Christian, I know this.  If you are not a Christian, I recommend you do give your heart to Christ.  Repent, for your own lack of doubt, or trust in God.  Or if you have caused someone, to hurt, because they trusted you, and you burned them.  Again read a King James, the anointing is there, for your faith, in anything.

I don’t know how people do it, without God, without Christ.  I don’t want to find out.  See thats my reassurance in a world, that leaves Him out.  I won’t, ignore Him, because I do trust God, and thats the greatest strength, I get in life.

Blessings, and love,

Elena Ramirez

DO YOU PLAY “HARD TO GET” WITH GOD? By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

P8280045

Before I go further, I want to answer you, and tell you don’t play hard to get with God.  And I will elaborate.

But, I want you to look at this like a fine stone, that has been carved out by the master potter Himself, God almighty.  There are many facets to our life, one part, may show a dinginess, in the stone.  And one part, may be so clear, it glows.  But as a whole, the beauty of  the stone it reflects who God is.

I ask if you play hard to get with God.  Because some of us, when growing up, learned to master that quality.  Holding out, till something good came along, then we have given it our all.

Some did not.  And with regret, there were times, in friendships, and love, I did not play hard to get.  I wanted what I wanted then, and well, sometimes, the results were not worth it.

When you are growing up, you play hard to get with a perspective mate.  Or you should anyway.  My mother taught me that. Yet do we always listen to our mothers?  No.  Sadly.

Anyway, you hold out, and play hard to get, because you want to see how much, this person is interested in you.  And you test the ground they stand on.

What is it worth to get your attention?  Have you ever noticed, a guy, will not give you too much interest, if you are interested in him?  Men like a challenge, they like to chase the girl.  They like the idea of the hunt.  A woman, or girl, who makes herself so available to him, is not a challenge.  There is no fun in that.

And I will be more explicit here, but a woman, who gives herself to a man, totally, sexually, not only has stopped the challenge, but all is not fair in love and war.  Once a man disarms a woman, there is no more of a challenge, and he got what he wanted, and is looking for another challenge.  Even if he says he loves you.  He may wonder who else beat him to the challenge.  Something is missing now.  The sin, has entered into the equation.

A woman, in Christ, will know how precious her soul, body, and spirit is, and will make a man wait for that love, by not giving herself away.  She sees the value of playing hard to get.  She holds out for Holy matrimony.  Where God can be the foundation, and yes cornerstone for that marriage.  And if the man is smart, he will see her value, and marry her.  In honor.  Sound old fashioned?

Well maybe it is, but Gods ways, are old but true.

I have tried it, and tested the logic and I know what works.  You see, I saw my value about 28 years ago, when I met my husband, and I honored myself, and God.  I played hard to get, by doing it Gods way.  And with success, I have a foundation in marriage, that has stood time.  I thank God.

Now lets talk about playing hard to get with God.  Many of us, have or had that mentality, or thought, that we can do it on our own.  We don’t need God.  Sadly, I once thought that too.  And those were the darkest days of my life.  And with shame, yes shame, I admit, I made so many mistakes, in being misguided, that it also turned into great sin.

If only, I did not play hard to get with God.  I would not have hit the bottom of the barrel.  I would not have had low self-esteem.

Do you notice people who are people pleasers, sometimes, forget their own worth, and they give themselves away.  And I am not just talking about sexually.  But I am talking about always saying “yes” or going above and beyond, for someone or some, who could care less.  Doing something for someone over and over again, that they take you for granted.  And do not appreciate the kindness, or the gesture even in love.

Sometimes, you have to remember the rule of playing hard to get with people, and in love, because you want good results.  But you must never play hard to get with God.  Never.

You have to remember, who He is.  He is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. He is mighty in power and strength.  He is the creator of heaven and earth.  Of heaven and hell.  And yes, He does have the ability to take your name and put it in the lambs book of life, for eternal salvation.  But if your name is tainted with sin, He can remove it, and the destination would be hell.  Why people play with their salvation, and play hard to get in obedience is beyond me.

But I would not chance on playing with His love.  He is love.  And without His love, our love, is in vain.  Our attempts are in vain.  Unless He builds the house, yes, we labor in vain like the scripture says.  And I am paraphrasing.  But we only have this lifetime, to make the difference.  So repentance even on a daily basis, keeps you shining.

I suppose, the whole point I am trying to make, is you are that beautiful stone.  And if you let the master, the potterer, take your life, and mold it and shape it, and teach you His ways, you will have something to be excellent, and worthy at.  But you have to see your worth.  You have to see yourself, through Gods eyes.  He looks at the heart, while people, they look at the outside.  But what does God see?  Does He see just lip service?  But the heart is away from Him even in truth.

BUT NOW, O LORD, THOU ART OUR FATHER; WE ARE THE CLAY, AND THOU OUR POTTER; AND WE ALL ARE THE WORK OF THY HAND.  Isaiah 64:8.

THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS: BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME.  Matthew 15:8.

More then anything, you have to see who HE is.  How excellent His ways are.  How powerful, and yes even mysterious He can be.  There is no greater force, or love, then His.  No wonder, at His miracles.  Or limit.

But you cannot, my dear friend, play hard to get with God.  You have to give it your all for Him.  In this life.  For if you do not, there will be regrets.  There will be a sense, of failure.  Sin does separate us from God. You can even lose your way, but you must always remember, He is the way, the truth, and life.  Finding God, means you find the way.

I just have the sense, that we must do every thing, in the time, we are given.  To give Him glory, to give Him thanks, to acknowledge Him to others.  To be love.  To try and be a reflection of Christ.  Yes we fail.  I know I do, every day.  But then I have moments, where I see, because I do not play hard to get, with God, I am able to be molded into something beautiful, for His glory, even in my words, with truth.  And He is not done with me.  But I will not limit God, by playing hard to get!  Do you understand how deep this thought is?

Please my friends, do not play hard to get with God.  With some people yes, they do not deserve you.  They will treat you like dirt.  They will ignore you.  They will be playing hard to get themselves.  And it goes deeper, because it is the enemies intention to have you fail.  To deceive you.

But with those, who love, truly as Christ does, they will also see your worth.  Those are those, who God has brought to remind you, that you are worth NOT playing hard to get for.  I have learned this even in a day.  How loyal some can be.  But then there are those, who only want what you can give, and even if it is through God.  They play hard to get.

But remember, Christ did not play hard to get.  He went on that cross, and gave His life, the ultimate sacrifice, so you could live.  And live abundantly.  Never play hard to get with that.  It cost too much.

He said, be Holy, because He is holy.  Play hard to get with others to get that holiness.  But let God in…..

You see, time could run out.  We are not promised tomorrow.  Dont take chances that make you look like you are playing hard to get with God.

I Peter 1:16 BECAUSE IT IS WRITTEN, BE YE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.

Another reminder, use a King James Bible, because it is Holy.  Now you know I would tell you that, because you do not want something that has been corrupted.  Have a blessed one.

Blessings, and love, Elena Ramirez

IF WE JUDGE OURSELVES, WILL OTHERS JUDGE US?

The answer to that is, yes….for no matter what we do, others will observe our behavior, our fruit, our testimonies, etc.  And will look to see who we are.  We all do that, we check one another out.

Now we are also called not to judge one another, especially, out of love….

But I want to talk about judging ourselves.  Or rather, I know the Lord, wants us to judge ourselves.  For in doing so, we learn.  We change, we repent…and if you love God, you will want to do things His way.

Now, according to scripture, we know, we fall short of that, we know, that His ways, are not always our ways….but if you love God, you keep trying.  You keep trying to reach the goal of holiness.

As we mature, in Christ, we begin looking at our ways.  Thats the Holy Spirit, convicting you….and it is so important to want to grow.

If we are judged, yes, it does hurt, but if the righteous, judge us, and in love, we can receive instruction.  And there is so much to consider, because, if we are judged, and their is condemnation, it can make someone stumble.  So, I don’t encourage judging others, but I do encourage love.  And yes, judging ourselves.  And this is such a deep subject.  But if you are in a position, to bring criticism to someone, do it in love.  If not….well, It can make a Christian, leave the faith.  Or wound….and we have to careful.  This is something, we all have to work out.  Our love walk, and with others…So, as Christians we do need to be careful about that.

But, when judging ourselves, we have to be conscious, to abstain, from the appearance of evil.  You may think it is innocent.  But what is it?  Will it lead to something evil?  Say, you have a flirtatious personality.  What does that married man think?  You may not have those intentions, but the “appearance” of it, can cause others to judge you, or the devil himself, will speak to that man, and suggest you are interested….and again this is so deep, but what are we expressing?

We have to judge ourselves.  Especially, if we come in the name of the Lord.

For the devil, is the accuser of the brethern.  Revelation 12:10, and he will take your fruit, and if it does not withstand the truth, it will be condemned.

We may think, we are doing something unto the Lord, but if the fruit of it, would cause someone to stumble, that is not of God, but the devil.  We do not want to make someone stumble, nor do we want to be condemned with the world.  For Christ, will return, and we will be judged.

It does hurt, sometimes, when we are judged, criticized, or our works are brought to the light.  But thats why it is so important, to remain humble, and pliable, in the sight of God.  Turning away, from our pride, which comes from the devil, and being humble in his sight.  The Bible says, let the righteous smite me, it shall be a kindness….(Read Psalm 141:5)

Dear ones, that smarts, when we are judged.  It hurts, but we have to grow, we have to want to see, the error of our ways.  We need to know what Gods word says.  We need to let God correct us.  For whom God loves, he does correct.

Abstain, from the appearance of evil.  Let our works glorify God, in holiness.  Let our fruit, that will judged be that of love, chastity, humbleness, holiness, and all that is pure and good.

For others are watching, following behind, we will be accountable, to God, and for others.  Yes, we must judge ourselves, and look within, daily, seeking God, and seeking His truth, so we can be changed, more like Christ.

And remember, no matter what you may have done.  The love of Christ, brings, conviction, not condemnation.  Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.

If you find yourself condemning yourself.  Lighten up….go to God, and repent.  Change your ways…by the word of God.

And. if you find others condemning you, they are not your friends.  So, be careful who you seek guidance and counsel from.  Love, forgives, and love also, is honest.  Be honest with yourself, and judge yourself, so others will not judge you…

FOR IF WE WOULD JUDGE OURSELVES, WE SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED. BUT WHEN WE ARE JUDGED WE ARE CHASTENED OF THE LORD, THAT WE SHOULD NOT BE CONDEMNED WITH THE WORLD.

I CORINTHIANS 11:31-32

Just my thoughts, with Love….

A Prayer of Hope…

Father, I bless you, and come before you with a humble heart.  Lord, daily, I need to look at myself, and seek you, and judge myself, so I will not be judged.  So, I can avoid the wrath of you my Lord.  Lord, change me, give me a discerning heart, of love, so that if I do see wrong myself, I will speak it in love.  We so need to be careful, that we do not wound other Christians, who may not even know, they are doing something wrong.  We all sin, we all come short, of your glory….Lord, I just pray, that this will encourage us, to look within.  To want to grow, to want to change, to be more like you, we do have to judge ourselves.  We rebuke the accuser, the enemy, but in love, we know, your voice….In Jesus name.  Amen

I HATE RACISM BUT NOT THE RACIST. WHY?

Strange, title.  But it keeps coming to me, prompting from the Holy Spirit, so I will write about this, praying for guidance.  This is true in my heart though, that I hate racism, but I do not hate the racist.

Why?  Because, I am commanded by God, to love him first, and then love others. Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  this is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

And because God is Love….1 John 4:8.

So, Yes, I try to love….Because God so loved me, He sent his only son, if I believe, I would have ever lasting life.  His love changed me.  Totally, rearranged my thinking, my heart, and my place to have in heaven.  So, I am conscious of love.  Because the sacrifice of Christ compels me to love.

Even the racist, who may not love me, because I am Hispanic.  Yes, I hate racism, I hate, what it has done throughout history.  History does tell us, how some even in a small group, can cause hate to grow with the intention to destroy.  Causing genocide.  Killing, hurting, wounding, innocent, people because of a hate, for another race that thinks it is superior.

This is just wrong in the sight of God.  God is not a respector of persons.  Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness is accepted with him.

He accepts us because He created us.  He loves us all.  When someone is cut, their blood is still red. Just as Christ’s blood is red, the only difference, there is no sin, in his blood.  The blood of Christ, ran for us, and he took, all of our sins, upon his back, and side, and received nails in his hands, and feet, a crown of thorns, to show us, his love.  To show everyone, we could defeat the enemy.  By His sacrifice of blood.

His love, His sacrifice, is the greatest example of love, for one another.  He wants us to love, as He does.  He wants us, to first, love the Father, to come before him, humble, repentant, giving our sins, our cares, and yes making him, our Lord and savior.  Knowing, that His sacrifice, by His blood, was the greatest gift He could do for us.  When we do that, our blood is His blood, and our sins, are cleansed.  Purified, with his love, we are able to love others.  We cannot love others, truly without His love.

Yet, we don’t get it right.  Many are still motivated by hate, for other races.  Racism, still, goes on, even in our “politically correct” world, or nation.  I am glad there are laws that are implemented, that discourage it.  But, the only way anyone can truly be rid of it, is by obeying God in this.  Love God, with all your heart and soul, and then love your neighbor.

I have seen racism, in my lifetime, concerning my own family.  And the stories my father, and mother shared, just seem so unreal.  But they happened.  I have seen it in my own lifetime.  Maybe not as prevalent, as my parents, shared with me.  Where for instance, my father, was denied access to a restaurant, because he was Hispanic, even though, he was dressed nice.

But I have felt it, in my younger years, when I applied for a job.  Or I walked into an exclusive store, and was talked down to, by a snobby clerk.  And I cannot help but remember, growing up, we would see racism, all the time.  Kids would call each other names, by their race.  You dirty this…Or stupid that, and it would always be focused on the kids race.  Then, we would hear it so much, we became desentized.  But now, in retrospect, and with a bit of wisdom, it was obvious, parents were not teaching love, of other people to their children.  And if a parent, does not show love, or respect, to other ethnicities or people from a different race, and culture, a kid will pick up on that hate real quick.  Because that, is what they are taught.

Sadly, I have even seen it, in the body of Christ.  Which really bothers me, because love, and love for others, is not evident in the church.  Lets be honest, it is not taught in the church.  I cannot ever recall going to any church, and the message of love, and the message to love those of other races, was taught.  If it was told, I may have missed it that Sunday….

But I know it in my heart, and I know it is something God wants to be shared.  Because I have seen racism, in the body of Christ.  Its ugly.  Its sad, and it stereotypes people.

Now, before I get anybody upset with me, please do not assume, I am seeing it in anybody lately.  Because I don’t.   I am attending a church, where there is a great mixture of people, of different races, and that relaxes me.  But I have attended predominantly exclusive churches, where one race, seemed to dominate, the church pews.  It does not bother me, now, but I have to be honest, there were times, when I would hear jokes coming from the pulpit, and things said, that would stereo-type people of certain races.

And I would feel like standing up and shouting; “Hey wait a minute.  That is a racist comment.”That bothered me.  But who does that, and gets out of order?  Maybe now, I would say something.  I am just that bold.  But earlier I would not.  Being respectful, being polite.  But knowing, that kind of banter, is not loving, not Christ like, not walking in love, toward another person, of a different race.  I would ponder on it.  And there have been times, I have heard things or seen things done to hurt someone, because of race, that bothered me terribly.  But I would also forgive.  Because I am called to forgive as well.  Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I really would love to see, the body of Christ uniting more in this.  In being true expressions of love, and reaching out to other people, other races.  I would love to see Pastors on television, and in our communities, extending love, extending a hand to others of different races, even as a church mission, to bring other people of different colors to their church.  I live in Colorado, and for the most part, the churches are segregated.  They may not intend for that to be the case, but it is.  What it is……

I just want to say, for the record.  I love all people.  I want to be friends with all people, because of Christ.  I may be shy, in many instances.  And, I may not understand all cultures, or the ways of people, traditions, habits, from one culture to the next.  But I do understand, Christ died for all of us.  And when He tells me to love others, I want to take it to heart.  I want to be a reflection, and expression of His love.

Maybe you do too.  But you can’t just think about it, and not do anything about it.  So, I challenge you even here.  What can you do, to extend love to someone of another race?  Thats not phony, but sincere, and caring?

How about inviting them to your church?    Your home, lunch…..And then just be loving to them, in a respectable, honorable way, like Christ would.  Love them….like family.   Include them in your church activities.  Make them feel like they are a part of the body of Christ, in your church. Knowing in your heart, this pleases God….

Knowing, you are fulfilling the greatest commandment, by loving God, you are loving others…..

Just my thoughts, with love, Elena Ramirez

Father, I do praise you, and love you this morning.  As I write, as I count my blessings, and as I sometimes, see, we need love in this world.  And in our churches.  And just in our hearts, to ease pain, to activate your truth, and goodness.  Love is so needed.  Lord, theres a song, that is coming to me, that we used to sing in choir in High school.  Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me…..Lord, let there be love, on earth, and let it begin with me.  We all have to see where, we are, and where we stand, with you in all matters.  Obedient to your word, obedient to your truth, and principles, commandments.  Lord, we are called to love you first, and then one another.  May this just be a reminder, it is not meant to offend any one, but if it does, oh well.  Love, forgives, and love, loves….In Jesus name.  Amen

WHY GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD

These are “Just My Thoughts.”  But, I believe I do have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:16 And I do not say this to be arrogant, in any way, but when you accept Christ as Lord and savior, and you replace your stinking thinking with his word, you see things differently.  He is in my heart, in this temple of mine,  and I sense, because of that, I do have a revelation, as to “Why God is a jealous God.” Exodus 20:5 is the first scripture, that substantiates God is jealous.

And when you know something, about someone you love, you want to protect them, you want to understand, you want to be aware of any thing, that would offend them, so you will not do those things that offend God, and more specifically make him jealous.

More then anything, I want to honor God.  I want to bless God.  And if anything, I know this sounds strange, but I want to protect God.  His feelings, the perception of him.  Because if anyone is ever misunderstood, it is God.  But when you see his word, and you read, it, and you put the puzzle of the Bible together here and there, it does make sense.

When I did get this revelation, it brought a lot of understanding to me.  It made me think, and it made me see, how we as humanity, has gone wrong in this.  I think if just your average person saw this, and I am talking about someone, who does not really believe, or is agnostic, they might get a revelation, to understand.  And if anything, could inspire someone as to who God is.

So bear with me, as I try and explain.  I believe, it really began in the garden of eden.  We all know the story of Adam and Eve, I will try to explain it here and there, but then I will give some scripture, to support “my thoughts” on this….

So Adam and Eve, were created in Gods image.  God had created this beautiful woman, and man, and he loved them.  He gave them everything that they needed.  There was fruit there, and all they could eat.  Everything was provided for them.  They had the counsel of God. It does not say extensively, how much they had, but they knew, for sure, God had commanded them to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  For they were warned that they would die.

But, I can just see them speaking and talking with God, as he explained to them, about every tree, every flower, every bird, or animal, and would describe perhaps, the function etc.  I believe, he shared with them his plan.  That they would be the parents of humanity.  And that they were special.  That he loved them.  God I believe, longed to have a close relationship with them.  After all, he created them.  They were made in his image.

So when that crafty, evil, old serpent came up to Eve, in Genesis chapter 3, we see he tested her.  And he asked her, Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?  So he knew about the commandment God had given to them both.  Eve acknowledges her understanding of the commandment, and tells the serpent, so.  She tells him, God has said we will die, if we touch or eat from it.

So in the first lie, ever spoken, the devil, lies and tells her, you will not die.  God knows if you eat it, your eyes will be opened.  And you will be like God.  Knowing good and evil.   This is very interesting, in this passage, of scripture.  Because one must understand the characteristics of the devil.  He is a liar. And for him, to take a twist on what God said, talking about them to know, and knowing good and evil, goes to the heart, of what his goal was.  He wanted to confuse them.  And ever since then….well humanity, has been confused about knowing what is a lie, and what is truth, and has been confused about good and evil.  For many call evil good, and good evil.

But back to my goal of this.  And why I believe God is a jealous God.  You see, when they did not heed the advice, of God in this, and Adam and Even both sinned, by eating the fruit from that forbidden tree.  I see, how hurt, how offended God was in this.  Yes, they disobeyed.  That was terrible, it caused us all to reap that curse of sin from them.

But what I see, as I look closer, is the betrayal, God must have felt.  For as you recall, he had a relationship with them.  He had sweet fellowship with them.  They had the ability to talk with God, they could ask him anything.  So when they took the counsel of the devil, and did not go to God, to ask him, to verify or if anything to tell them about the devil who was talking to them, this hurt God, and made him jealous.   Just ask yourself this.  What if they had ignored the devil, gone to God, and asked him, to verify what the devil had said?  God would have spoke truth, because he does not lie, and humanity, would have been spared the curse of sin.

And even to this day, God is still jealous, for those who know about him, or know some of his truth, and seek counsel from others. If we could only learn, a very serious lesson from this, we could be spared the consequences of sin, death.  Only Christ, can do that for us.

Yet, God wants us to go to the Bible, to find the answers.  To give us understanding.  To go to him, for if we do, he promises, he will give us wisdom.

I want us to see, that the reason, God was, so very, very jealous, was that they did not believe him.  They did not seek his counsel.  Think back to the garden of Eden again.  And the name of the tree, it was called, the tree of knowledge, of good and evil.  God did not want us to know evil.  He did not want us to be confused, with knowledge from evil and good.  He wanted us, to be protected.  He wanted us, to grow, in who he was.  So even here I will ask, What are you putting in your mind?  Are you enticed by evil movies, scary things, things that when those thoughts enter your mind, they just won’t go away?  Did you know, those are seeds from evil?  God does not want you to have fear.  He does not want you to know evil for you will think about it.

Thats why knowing, studying, reading, investigating, memorizing, the word of God, is so important to understand, and to seek knowledge from that.  So we learn the difference, from those before us.  But, even still God wants to protect us, thats why he sent Christ for us.  He does not want us to seek ungodly counsel.

When we have problems, who do you go to?  And be honest.  Is it to your friend?  Is it to the newspaper to find your horoscope?  The corner, fortune teller?  Psychology books?…Your hairdresser?  Someone on television, or the movies?  A famous actor or actress?  Someone who his filthy rich, but does not know God?  Who do you go to?  Is your counsel from God? The truth is that many do not seek God.  The world, thinks its foolishness.  Do you?

God is jealous.  Ever since, Adam and Eve’s sin, mankind has been confused, and gone for other counsel.  Not Gods. When we look at God, from an intellectual level, we are trusting our ability.  We are not looking at him through faith.  This infuriates God.  Faith pleases him.  He created us to have a relationship with him.

Our world does not seek the counsel of God.

The point is, and I know, I am really hammering this…but we really need to know God, what makes him happy, what blesses him, and why he hates sin.  God hates sin, because it confuses us.  He does not want us to be confused.  He is jealous.  And rightly so, his love, wants to protect us.  Thats why he gave us the Bible.  I think it is a good reason, why he is jealous.

Like in the garden of eden, he wants us to go to him, and nobody else.  He does not want the devil to deceive us, and confuse us.  And something else, that needs considering.  Idolatry….That makes him jealous.  (this needs more explanation look in the future for a blog from me on this)

And because I see this more then ever, I don’t want to hurt him, thats why even here, I will say, I will never, ever go to someone to have ungodly counsel.  I won’t seek spiritual advice, not based on the word of God, and prayer. Because I love him, and I don’t want to offend him.  I don’t want curses, but blessings, and the blood of Jesus protects me from those kind of things.  (look up Saul, in the Old Testament. And what happened to him seeking ungodly counsel). And specifically use a King James Bible.  For the anointing and holiness.  That has not been corrupted.

I just pray and believe I have enough discernment now, so I would not even listen, or give them the time of the day, to anyone who is giving ungodly counsel.  And if I was talking to the devil,(yuk God forbid that) and I did not know it, I pray, this prayer would be answered.  That God would give me discernment, so I would not fall into any trap, the devil would put before me.  So, I would not offend God.  So, I would not get counsel, that was not truth.  So I would not be deceived.

I just wish, I could go back and tell Adam and Eve….but since, I can’t…. I can tell you, and share with you this thought, for your own well being.  Don’t confuse yourself, with this that or the other.  Go to God, for counsel.  Pray, and read the Bible. Heres a clue for you to investigate.  Proverbs Chapter 2.  I dare you to read it.

So whats the moral value of “Just my thoughts”?…..

Don’t get God jealous. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE BUT FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM, AND DISCIPLINE.  PROVERBS 1:7

Just my thoughts….with love,  Elena Ramirez

A Prayer Of Hope….

Father, Thank you for revealing this to me, Lord.  Its so obvious.  You do not want us to seek counsel, from ungodly sources.  From the devil.  From those things that will confuse us, or deceive us.  But sometimes, we just do not see.  How I long for you to change that, by your Holy Spirit, I pray, to be prompted, to seek your truth, in your word, and by your voice.  That I know, my dear shepherd, Jesus.  Lord, I know you are God, you don’t need my protection.  But, I honor you, I want to understand you, and please you.  For who you are.  Almighty God, great creator of heaven and earth.  Of the Universe.  Lord, I just pray and ask for forgiveness, again.  I know, I am forgiven of sin.  But I want to acknowledge, I never understood that.  But at one time, before I accepted you, I thought, all knowledge would be good.  Not knowing, you did not want me to know many things.  Thank you for the blood of Jesus, that cleans my sins, thank you for my salvation.  Thank you for the Holy spirit teaching me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for your Holy word.  In Jesus name.  Amen

TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS ARE YOU A PLAYER?

BUT IF YOU BITE AND DEVOUR ONE ANOTHER, TAKE HEED THAT YOU BE NOT CONSUMED ONE OF ANOTHER.  GALATIANS 5:15

Do you know someone, who just won’t take a break, when it comes to the nitpicking, complaining, and finding fault, unnecessarily, and you find yourself, totally unable to stop the grumbling from this person?

Maybe you see this in yourself.  You really do not want to be this type of person, but you find yourself, looking at things from a negative point of view, and you just seem to vent, this aggravation to others, as well.  Looking for sympathy, or from a place, of your ego, to be an expert, lets say, but then, instead, it just turns into something that really gets out of control, because you need to be superior, in this, and you get competitive, and well you get the picture, it turns into an argument. With someone else.

Learned, destructive behaviors, that are a pattern for you, in your social skills.  That really do not make you cooperative, or a team player in anything.  For whatever reason, you want to have it all your way.   People like that, are hard to live with.  They are hard to work with, they are for lack of a better word, they are toxic.

This can change.  But, if you are involved, with someone like that you cannot change them.  Only God can.

These are the characteristics, we all should aspire to.  In our relationships, and in our hearts fruit.  With our Salvation, with our obedience to Christ, with his love…. Also, in Galatians 5:20 For the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:  against such there is no law.

One has to be able to determine, though, whether or not you are going to get caught up in their game, of controlling, and really, a form of manipulation.  Because, they want it their way, and the Bible tells us, in Galatians 5:23 not to be provoking one another, envying one another….

One has to see the many signs, of a “toxic person.”  And truly make the decision, as to whether or not you want to get caught up in that kind of a relationship.  Sometimes, there really is no choice, especially if it is with a family member, who does these things.  Sometimes, other influences, like bad habits, of drinking, or smoking, or drug abuse, will contribute to these behavior patterns.

If you are involved with someone like that, it can also take a lot of you.  Thats why the Bible, tells us to be careful not to get caught up in the “biting” and devouring….of one another.  Prayer, can make a difference.  Sometimes, staying away from someone like that can make a difference.  It can be a real challenge, to walk away from someone like that.  But sometimes, one has to make that choice.  For your own well being.  For your own spiritual, and physical health.

I know, I have been in a couple of relationships like that, myself, where I needed to take a break.  The sad thing, was though, it was someone, I had to communicate with, because this was a family member.  And sadly, I really did not ever see any progress.  You can love someone, but you cannot change them.  That has to come from God, that has to come, from within, to say, I want to change. The loved one, I am talking about, would not, admit the problem, nor cared to see the distress it also caused me.  Its been many years, since this persons passing.  But I still look back with regret, that this relationship was toxic.  And I forgive as well.  But one thing, I do believe I need to mention, this person did not forgive.  Little things or big things, unforgiveness, was always evident.  I suppose, I see it as a symptom.

Learn to see the signs, of a toxic person.  Seek counsel, from a pastor, a friend.  But, don’t carry the weight of this alone.  Learn to know, what’s best for you, never settle, for anything else, that does not shows respect, or love.  Your worth more than you know, especially, if you know who you are and can be in Christ.    Thats they key, to understanding.  Thats the key, to changing.  Christ…..Bring it to the obedience of Christ.

As an after thought and question….

Do you see Unforgiveness, as a characteristic in someone you know who has toxic relationships?

Just my Thoughts…..and in our Lords love,    Elena Ramirez

A Prayer of Hope….

Father, God, my Lord, I pray for the person, involved, in a toxic relationship.  I pray for protection.  One who cannot seem to see that this person, is manipulating them.  Lord, I pray, for wisdom, and understanding.  I pray, that if the person who is reading this, sees some of the signs within, that they would seek you.  Lord, only you can change a heart.  Only you can change the perspective of the way we think.  Lord, touch the heart, to seek help.  To seek counsel.  To seek your truth from your word.  To make this change.   I ask this, in your precious name our Lord, Jesus.  Amen
