AN EXERCISE IN PRAYER BY THE HOLY SPIRIT ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

As we grow in Christ, as we grow in prayer.  There are just some things, we should do in the Holy Spirit.  

Repentance, always clears the slate, I believe.  When we come to Christ humble, repentant, for perhaps those things we think, or have allowed into our spirits, that could corrupt us.  We need to be careful.  Things that are sin in His eyes.  

But I just had a sense, that when we pray, we really need to see with our “spiritual eyes.”  We need to see Jesus, there, when we pray.  

Christ told us, He would not leave, or forsake us.  He told us, that He would never leave us.  

I believe the Lord, gave me this thought, to help us in our faith.  To help us see.  Sometimes, we ask for things, and we are not sure, He has heard us, or we are not sure, if  there is a way.  

But Christ told us, He is the way, the truth, and life.  John 14:6.  He told us, if we asked in His name, the father would grant it.  He told us if we believed it would be ours.  He told us, that He would give us the desires of our heart, as we delight in Him.  Oh yes, give God the glory, honor, and praise, as you approach His throne.  

How can we delight in our Lord?  Well, one way, is when we pray, actually open your spiritual eyes, to see Christ there, listening.  

Let me repeat that.  Look at Christ there, when you close your eyes, to pray.  See Him, attentive to your need.  Because again, He is there, He will not leave or forsake you.  See Him, in the spirit, the Holy Spirit. 

Quiet your spirit, to just hearing His voice.  Read a King James scripture, that is Holy, and anointed, and let Him, counsel you.  I cannot even count the many times, that God has spoken to me, in need of an answer, and I just opened up my King James Bible.

He says, He knows our desire, even before we speak it.  So, think, and ponder on Him, when you go to His throne.  See Him, in His majesty.  See Him, as you seek His Kingdom, and all things will be added unto you.  

Sometimes words do not come to us.  We may be hurting, we may be distracted, but as a disciple of Christ, we do need to discipline ourselves.  Just look for Him, in the spirit.  Beware of counterfeits though, in the spirit, and beware of the enemies voice, who always tries to be deceptive.  This is why repentance, is so important.  

And never, ever, set up an idol, or a symbol, that would grieve Him.  He hates idolatry.  So get rid of such things, even in prayer.  Now I know many might disagree with that thought, but Father, is very jealous in these matters.  And wants us to search for Him by the spirit, not by a graven image, that is even a commandment that tells us not to set up.  

THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE, ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR THAT IS IN THE EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE EARTH.  EXODUS 20:4  KJV.

YE SHALL MAKE YOU NO IDOLS NOR GRAVEN IMAGE, NEITHER REAR YOU UP A STANDING IMAGE, NEITHER SHALL YE SET UP ANY IMAGE OF STONE IN YOUR LAND, TO BOW DOWN UNTO IT:  FOR I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD.  Leviticus 26:1.  KJV.

We have to try and learn and know, what pleases our Lord.  Anyway, Christ, knows by the spirit, what you need.  Know, that He is listening there, searching your heart.  Knowing the mind of the spirit.  Because He makes “intercession” for you according to the will of God.  

AND HE THAT SEARCHETH THE HEARTS KNOWETH WHAT IS THE MIND OF THE SPIRIT, BECAUSE HE MAKETH INTERCESSION FOR THE SAINTS ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD.  ROMANS 8:27  KJV.

When you know He is there, when you know He is seeing you, it just makes your faith, easier.  It makes your prayer have a sense of accomplishment.  Because He sees you, He is there.  Just see HIM with your spiritual eyes.  Try to please Him, humble, when you pray.  

I share this, because as an intercessor, I have learned some things, in trying to understand what works, and what does not.  What pleases God.  But if we are humble, if we are taking the whole word of God, that is King James word, and we are not using anything counterfeit or corrupt, that the enemy would use to deceive.  I believe our chances in prayer, can make a difference.  And every one knows, that I only recommend a King James Bible because it is holy.  It is anointed.  It is preserved in Heaven and earth, and I believe when you use it, your on the same page with God.  And thats always the goal….

Never underestimate prayer, but do what you can to make sure your prayer is heard.  Sin, will separate us from God, and He will not hear.  But the sweetest, simplest prayers can be heard, even in our child like faith.  

Looking for Him, to be there, when you pray, is just an exercise in prayer.  In faith….

DO NOT LET PEOPLE INTIMIDATE YOU GOD WILL DEAL WITH THEM ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

I feel led to write to someone, to comfort them, to warn them, to encourage them.   Do not let people intimidate you.  God will deal with them.  God is not a respecter of persons, He loves us all.  But God will protect you, from unjust harm.  Trust Him…  

For, there are many King James scriptures that tell us about our enemies.  And there are many scriptures that tells us what happens to the wicked:

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; Genesis 22:17  KJV.  

But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.  Exodus 23:22.  KJV  

The Lord preserveth all them that love him:  but all the wicked will he destroy.  Psalms 145:20  KJV.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of the lambs:  they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.  

Psalm 37:20  KJV.

I am a warrior.  I learned to be that way, because of the own people I dealt with growing up.  I did not have  brothers or sisters.  To protect me.  But I had to fight.  

I fought….In the business world, and even here on social media.  And there are people, who only want to intimidate you, fight you, argue with you, and try to make you feel uncomfortable, or sad.  

Thats their agenda.  I stay clear from those kind of people.  I won’t sit with the scorner.  I won’t even try to let them think I agree with them, when I don’t.  If someone cusses at me, they lose me, in even trying to communicate.  I won’t go to that level.  

Whether its in politics, or in religion, or in the work place. Or even your neighborhood.   The jealousy, prejudice, or pure ignorance, the rudeness, that blinds them, will try and intimidate you.

There are people, no matter how hard you try to get a long with them.  Their venom will come out.  

And I do recommend trying to get along with people.  In fact pray for them.  Walk in love anyway, as Christ commanded us.    

But it seems, no matter what you try to do, they will fight you, argue with you, or try to intimidate you.  

Don’t let that spirit cripple you.  This is a trap from the enemy.  To believe a lie, or to stop you from being fulfilled in the promises of God.  Trust God. 

Maintain your courage, and just know, God is on your side.  Just know, there are angels that are dispatched, for you.  Trust God.  Let this thing that the enemy is trying to use against you, make you stronger.  

Its sad, because I personally have seen people, use something about a person, even personally to make them feel uncomfortable. As if they were superior.  And they will try to manipulate you to think you are not worthy.  

And I guess, even in writing this.  Because I know.  Whatever it is you may have, as a handicap, or as something that makes you feel inferior.  Even your race.  Which should not even be a factor, but because racism and hate is prevalent, they will try and make you feel inferior.  

God can use that, and teach you, how to be stronger, even for someone else.  You can get courage.  You can speak truth.  You can be someone who can rise above it.  

Yes, there are some battles that are not meant for us to fight.  And you need to ask God for wisdom.  

And I myself, pray every day for wisdom in such matters.  Because I have as a fighter been involved in things that I should not.  

But, yet, there is something in me that rises up against evil.  Or against, an injustice to someone else.  Or to an accuser, who is so hateful.  That you tell them.  Knock it off.  And you tell them about their own indiscretions, since they want to make you feel unworthy.  Especially here on social media.  

Where people, will say things, do things, that they would not in public.  But something about being behind a computer, they get courage, to be rude and mean, and try to intimidate you.  Don’t let them.  If you know truth, stand… be still, and Know He is God.  

Look, in life, we will meet the good, the bad, and the ugly.  But don’t be a part of the ugly, or the bad, because you yourself, have been hurt, or intimidated  by someone else.  

Turn it around, whatever wound you have.   Whatever that makes you inferior.  Whatever it is that may have  broken you even in your heart, and life.  And just give it to God.  

God will fight your enemies for you.  I have seen this in my own life.  I have seen God deal with people who have hurt me, and He has punished them.  See they have no idea, especially if you are a Christian, what God will do with them.  But they will reap what they sow.  They have no idea who God is.  

And its sad, because if we all would just see, how frail we are.  If we could just see that their is an enemy.  We would humble ourselves, and bow down, and give God glory, because there is nothing impossible with God.  We would all be kinder, to each other, we would walk in love.  

If all of us would just even apologize, for being sometimes being rude, or insensitive.  We might soothe the beast.  A soft word, turns away anger….

Because we are all capable of that.  See we never know what someone else is going through.  And when people are mean, or cruel, and they have burdens, sadness, God sees.  And it grieves Him, when they are trying to intimidate His child.  He will have His vengeance.  But maybe he is trying for you to see why that person is mean.  Pray for them. 

I just pray, for whoever is reading this, that is feeling intimidated.  Pray, give your whole being to God.  Repent, yourself for even your part in it, if there is…..because maybe you are reaping, what you sowed.  Now you are getting the tail end of it.  

But, stay humble in the sight of God.  Do whats right.  Do not take matters, in your hand that would cause you to lose your right standing with God.  Let God deal with them.  But don’t let them intimidate you.  Just know who you are in Christ.  You are victorious.  You are Gods child, precious, and beautiful in His sight, and He loves you.  That should be enough right now to comfort you, and to pray…..  

Don’t forget to use a King James Bible to search for your scriptures.  For holiness, and anointing, that the others do not give.

FOR THE LORD THY GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE, EVEN A JEALOUS GOD.  DEUTERONOMY 4:24.

God is jealous for your soul.  He created you, in His image, and so when any of us, get off course, and we do not realize the error of our ways, He sees with jealousy!

I have seen in my own journey of life, where God has prompted to correct me here and there.  But He has done it sometimes in jealousy….

He is such a gentleman, to me, but He has been known to teach me some hard lessons in life.

It grieves me, that sometimes, I have not had good judgment.  It grieves me, that I made Father jealous.

I did not do it intentionally, but stupidly, being naive, being foolish, about not knowing His ways, His truth….For life.  For He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Oh how I love my King James Bible.  For there, I hear His voice.  There I know the content is not corrupted, there, I find truth.  His commandments.  Not someone else’s voice, that would make Him jealous…

I remember one time, I got Father jealous, because of my fascination with angels.  I had been collecting figurines of them.  One time, I went to a good will store, and I found one, and she had a lantern, so I bought it.

That same night, I dreamt of her.  She came alive.  She was evil, and she was trying to steal my soul, the light of who Christ was.  Her lantern was symbolic, to taking my light, and putting it in that lantern.  I woke up, terrified.

And I immediately opened my bible.  This scripture was immediately in view.

THOU SHALT HAVE NONE OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.  THOU SHALT NOT MAKE THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR THAT IS IN THE EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATERS BENEATH THE EARTH.  THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF UNTO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM, FOR I THE LORD THY GOD AM A JEALOUS GOD, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME.  AND SHOWING MERCY UNTO THOUSANDS OF THEM THAT LOVE ME AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.  DEUTERONOMY 4:7-10.

I repented.  I broke it, and smashed it into tiny little pieces.  There was something attached to it, in the spirit, that I did not want even anybody else to have.  So I broke it, and threw it in the trash.  It was a lesson, I will never forget.

You see, God saw my fascination, but even as a child, He was teaching me not to have any idolatry, before Him.  For as a child, I asked my mother, when we went to mass, why did the people bow down to the statues?  She had been teaching me the ten commandments, so I knew.  We went to different churches, so I know the difference.  

But here I was caught up in the spirit of just collecting, but it offended God.

So I am always careful now, to stop and see, what I like, what I give attention to, and why?  Even people…  Does it become idolatry?

You see, I don’t want to offend God.  I know He is jealous.  That scripture says he will visit the iniquity of the fathers, upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

Generational curses, one wonders, so I want the slate clean…..

Idolatry, can also come in the form, of loving one self.  Did you know that?  Remember the devil was an angel of light, who disguised himself.  He can come into position by showing himself as beautiful.  But behind his spirit, that ugly spirit will show up, as pride, and as conceited.  He was jealous of God, but God won that fight and kicked Him out of heaven.  

God does not share His glory with anyone.  So it is wise, to watch out for anything that becomes idolatry, or that tries to take the place of our relationship with our Lord and savior.  Because He is jealous…

I have learned lessons in that as well, though it is hard for me to articulate into words, I pray, not to give myself that attention, in these kind of matters. For it can turn into vanity.

I just want to please God.  I just want His peace, in my life.  I just want answers to prayer, and I do not want anything in my life, that is sin, that would take priority, or hinder my prayers.  I want His protection.  I just love His presence….

I want to see Him glorified, though, because of all of this. I want Him to know, and the world…so I speak it.  I don’t want to make Him jealous.  And I want for Him to receive any glory, or honor, or prestige, concerning anything, I prosper in. Because if you think about it, our lives are in His hand.  Our health, our wealth, our blessings…..small and large.  

It takes deliberate thought, to make sure when I come before Him, even in prayer, that I know, that I know who I am talking to.

He is the King of Kings, He is the Lord of Lords.  He is the healer, the provider, the creator of Heaven and earth, and so much more.  I do not want to make him jealous, by giving someone, or anything more priority then I do him.

So I want to be careful.  Do you think about that?  Are you aware He is jealous for your soul?  Food for thought, I pray this blesses you…

The more I grow in Christ, and the more I know His Holy word, I am convicted, when I say or do something wrong.

My spirit, just knows, when I am out of line so to speak.  Or if I somehow get into a place, where I know, I have done something or said something, that is not strong, is not right for lack of better words in the sight of God.  I know it…

Sometimes, we compromise.  Yet we should be strong in who we are in Christ.  If we know the truth, and we are free, totally free, as Christ has told us, and we have given our hearts, we are grateful for another chance.  Yet, we live in this world, we are called not to be a part of the world, but we can stumble.  We can even fall.

I love repentance for this very reason, but with that said, and knowing we can be given grace.  Do we compromise who we are?  I suppose, because I understand, that grace cannot be extended without repentance, what about those, who have given their hearts to Christ, but they think that is it?  As babies in Christ, do we think we have nothing else to do?  I see the difference, because I am no longer a baby in Christ.  

But babies…without truth, or understanding of Gods ways, and yes even bad doctrine.  They don’t think they have to do anything, any more, and they think they have a place in heaven.  They actually in some twisted sense, believe, it now gives them permission to sin.  Their salvation, is in tact, they think….so they do what they want, and sin.  They compromise Gods grace. 

You know, it is a good thing to know good true, King James scriptures.  Because the other versions, compromise a word here and there.  And it does take away the holiness.  So, when I look at my King James, I see.  God is not mocked.

God is not mocked my friends.  And we never get away with anything, we say or do, for the final outcome, is documented in the book of life.  And yes our names if we have given our hearts to Christ is in the lambs book of life.  Two separate books.  

But, if we play with our salvation, if we play with what Christ has done for us, we can have our names removed, or blotted, out of the Lambs book of life.  Once saved, is not always saved.  And many would argue with that, but do your own search, and see, use the King James Bible as the search, and look for words that mention “blot” or “blotted.”

Every thing we have said or done, is being recorded.  We are judged by our words.  I suppose I am writing this, myself, because I do have the fear of God.  And I want to be stronger, as a Christian, and yes as an ambassador of Christ.  

I don’t like hitting people on the head with the Bible, yet, I know, I have to be firm in my own belief.  I cannot compromise.  I found myself, yesterday chatting with a friend, but I felt like I compromised who I was in Christ, and worse, that I compromised what Gods word says.  I repented.

Such a balance we have to find, in who we are in Christ.  But truly, we have to be mindful yes, of His grace.  But do we compromise?  One compromise, can lead to another, and then we would be totally deceived by the enemy.  I just want us to see, because I know I have not heard this message, from any prominent ministry, but one must be so careful.

I love the Lord, I love serving Him, and I pray He uses me, but I also want to be someone who speaks truth, boldly, and not compromising, yet with love.  I wanted this person to feel love, and not the wrath of God.  

Yet, could we do a disservice if we are not saying exactly what God says?  Lord forgive us.  Help us.  This is where the word “judging” can come in, because many know truth, but do not say anything, because the enemy can use judging to interrupt truth.  Yet we are called to expose darkness.  Do we, speak truth or do we compromise?  

This can cover so very, very much.  But, please my friends, do not take your salvation for granted.  I don’t know what you have learned, or if you come from a place, where you think once saved, is always saved.  Christ told us, that there would be many who would come to him, and say didn’t we cast out devils, in your name.  And He would say….depart, I never knew you.Those are words you do not want to hear, when you stand before Christ, at the end of your lifetime. 

Be very aware of Gods grace.  But try, my friends, try, to not compromise who you are.  Repentance, before a Holy God, being humble, trying to please Him, is what counts.  And why? In fear of Him like the many scriptures tell us.  Oh the fear of God is healthy!

I think of this example, say you have a boss, you love, he is kind, he is generous, he is flexible.  But when he says don’t do something, don’t do it.  And why, because you want your job.  You want to please this boss, because you know, your livelihood is at stake.  You need your job.  Well, I look at it this way myself.  I know God is love, I know He is kind.  He is generous, He extends grace, but I have to take all of His word, and not compromise it.  And why, because I do want to serve Him, but I also know my salvation is at stake.  I need God, I need to please Him.

Sometimes, when I hear some pastors, they act like God flip flops.  He does not.  When it comes to grace, and the law, they think that is it, but all Christ did, was save us from the law of sin and death.  Not His law!  Not His commandments!  They still stand.  Whats wrong with us, if we cannot see that?  We would be deceived.

So friends, keeping a humble repentance before Christ. This is healthy, and yes God will extend grace, but we have to be aware.  We have to be sorry, we cannot compromise.  And I even say this a few days before Halloween, because many Christians think it is o.k. to celebrate this evil holiday, and it stems from hell.  The bottom line is it does not honor God.  Don’t compromise your blessings, or your place with God, or even the fear of God, to play in this spiritual realm.  Fearing God keeps us out of trouble.  

I hope this makes you and me both think.  How precious our salvation is.  Christ gave His life, and He suffered so greatly for our sins.  How can we not look at the cross, and see what He did, and openly compromise what He did.  Oh God forgive us, and God forbid.  Please friends, take this to heart.

Much love, I share it, not wanting to hit anybody on the head, yet so mindful of what Christ did.  I am sorry, Lord, help me not to ever compromise.  Especially, because you gave your life, and paid the penalty for my sins.

BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD I AM WHAT I AM: AND HIS GRACE WHICH WAS BESTOWED UPON ME WAS NOT IN VAIN; BUT I LABOURED MORE ABUNDANTLY THAN THEY ALL:  YET NOT I, BUT THE GRACE OF GOD WHICH WAS WITH ME.  I CORINTHIANS 15:10.

A WORD FROM THE LORD TO THE LYING CHRISTIAN ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

I sense the Lord is giving me a word, to the Christian, who believes, yet lies.  You know lying, is a characteristic of the devil.  And when one lies, in any way, they are taking on the characteristic of the devil, whom God hates.

God gave us His word, to help our lives, to guide us, to instruct us, to command us, to do things His way.  And when we know the truth, and yet choose to give place to the devil, well, we are setting ourselves up.  For curses, for problems, for Gods protection to depart, and so much more.

Because first of all, God is holy, and He calls us unto holiness.  When a Christian lies to another Christian, I don’t think this person realizes, what the Holy Spirit sees.  It grieves, the Holy spirit.  And we all are walking, at different, places, in our Christian walk.  Some are stronger, and some have gotten to a place, where love is evident, or whatever.  We are all growing on the vine, so to speak.  For Christ is the vine, we are the branches.  But when a Christian lies, they are really subjecting themselves, to harsh judgment.

Ephesians 4:25-32 King James, really puts it into a good perspective.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.  

(We are called to speak truth to each other, because of Christ, we are linked together, in the spirit) Be ye angry, and sin not, let not the sun go down upon your wrath.  Neither give place to the devil.  (When you lie, you are giving place to the devil.)

Let him that stole steal no more but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, (lying is corrupt communication) but that which is good to the use of the edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God. (God sees and he is not pleased by that)

Whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.  (Put it away)

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you.  

In the spirit of the conclusion, God has given me.  To understand, as I share with you….I would go to God, I would repent.  I would see the error of my ways, and I would not want to give place to the devil.  I would not want to offend God.

You know, I see so many broken people, in our society, in our world, and you, and I both know, that lying, has not been something that our society, has really tried to implement in people, to do good, or for their best.  It is just not taught.

But God teaches us.  And His ways, by Jesus Christ, is the only way.  Christ is the way, the truth and life.  John 14:6 And if we want to begin living a better life, sometimes, we have to start with whats really within.  What do we communicate.  It is sad, to see, that a Christian, let alone, a person, who does not know Christ lie.

Even here, to whoever my reader is, go to God, repent, ask him to take that spirit of lying away.  Make him your Lord, and savior through Christ.  Ask him, into your heart, do not give place to the devil.

Know this, when you do lie, you are opening yourself up.  To lose blessings, opportunities, and so much more.  Curses can come in, for we reap what we sow.

Dear one, if you have lied, I would literally take that scripture of Ephesians 4:25 and I would go to that Christian, and tell that Christian the truth.  Especially, if you have lied to another Christian.  Even if you did not mean it.  You still lied.  Sometimes, we have to do things, that prove, we are serious.

Now this is between you, and God, but speaking truth, opens the door, to God, again.  Not lying.  I just feel in my heart, God is trying to correct you.  He wants to bless you, but He wants to see you do that which is right in His sight.

I hope you go to His word daily, but check out Ephesian 4 right now, and let it minister to your heart, and turn away from the evil.  Turn to God.  So you won’t be tossed around, anymore, like this same scripture talks about.

Start now….before it is too late.  I tell you this in His love.  Because His love heals, blesses, and makes us complete.  When we see it, we are changed.  Forever more.  And by that we realize, how precious, our Salvation, how precious, the suffering of Christ is for us.  Because He loves us.  Let not your acceptance be in vain, by giving into the lying.  Turn from it and turn to God.

A Prayer of Hope and Honor,

Father, obedient, I have written this.  May it minister to your children, to all of us.  So that we would be aware, of the consequences of our sins, of lying, for it truly is a characteristic of the devil.  I give no place to him, even here I submit to you, for your love, and protection, to cover me by the blood of Jesus.  I hate the things you hate, and I love that which you love.  Help this Christian, who has lied, and lies, to put off that ugly spirit, and to submit to you.  Help us all, and if that Christian wrote to me, or called me, I would forgive, for you have forgiven me all of my sins.  I would walk in love.  It is so important, Lord, I see it.  Thank you, In Jesus name. The precious name of our Lord, that suffered for my sins.  Thank you.  Amen

WHATS YOUR IDOL? ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

idolatry |īˈdälətrē|nounworship of idols.• extreme admiration, love, or reverence for something or someone : we must not allow our idolatry of art to obscure issues of political significance.

I am not too thrilled with this definition of Idolatry, from the dictionary, because it does not mention, that it is offensive to God.  We don’t talk too much about “Idolatry” in the church, or on Christian television.  But it is something that is mentioned quite often in the Bible, with examples, and it offended God.

For, if we really think about it, we can relate it, to what God sees.  And he sees, that we place a lot of things above him.  Even now….Lord, help us to see this, even here as I pray, in my Prayer of Hope.

This “Just My Thoughts” posting, is not, to condemn anyone.  Because if anything, it must start with me, to write something, that will express, just an awareness.  But not condemnation, There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ.  Romans 8:1.  But if it convicts us, to open our eyes, to be aware, to see where we might be going wrong, to turn away from that, then I am doing my job.  And so, I must even say here, that I myself need to be careful of this, in my walk with my Lord Jesus.

When I was just a little girl, I was aware of this.  For in our searching for a church, (see in my posts, “Its not Religion its Relationship,” ) I was introduced to a church, that would bow down to statues.  As a young little girl, my mother had been teaching me the Ten Commandments.  Something, I recommend, we teach all of our children…… The Bible also tells us that we should do that…Deuteronomy 6:7

Anyway, the first commandment, God gives us,  is “THOU SHALT HAVE NONE OTHER gODS BEFORE ME.   Deuteronomy 5-8.

Then right after that scripture, another commandment;

Thou shalt not make thee any graven image or any likeness, of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth.  Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them….nor serve them:  For I the Lord thy God am a Jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. 

God looks at that as hate.  That you hate Him.  Now I know this may offend some people, but I really don’t care, but I need to say this, because this is something, we need to look at further, and as I under lined it, because God mentions this.  

I have to ask….Is there something you bow down to?  Of an image of someone?  Even a photo….or a graven image, like a charm or something.  Another thought though is….One could, have an idol, I guess,  and relate it to someone who is dead, or someone who is in heaven who did good works…saints etc.  

And then, there are some people, who are really into their angels and I believe in angels too, But I don’t pray to my angel, and I certainly do not bow to them.  That scripture is pretty specific, and we need to take it to heart, and in obedience.

See, we have to be aware, and see who is in charge, and that is God.  And he says in that same chapter, that he is a jealous God.  (See my post on “Why God is jealous”)  

So is there something we have turned into an idol?  Anyway, the thing, I want to do here, is just make us aware of what we are spending our time on, our energy, our resources, and yes even our money.  Are we making these things into idols, and they take time from God?  Are we putting them before God?  Do we insist, on doing these things, especially if they are hurting our spirits?  

The thing is I believe, we need to know, and make note of these things, and ask God, to help us, and to turn from them.  And I am not saying all of these things are bad.  Some would be, if it controls you, like substances, drinking, smoking, etc.  Drugs.  These would be idols, that have you in bondage.  But it is bad, if it stops your blessings, and your relationship from God flowing.

But I am also talking about things that we may normally do, that take the place of God.  For an example….in the morning, what is your first action?  Do you turn the television on, or do you pray?  Do you spend your tithes and offerings, before you give?  Would you rather go to a sports event, then to church?….

I think if we really study ourselves, we can find ways to improve, in our walk with God, to see if there are things, that are taking priority, that we are turning into idols.

A Prayer of Hope….

Father, I pray, that we would look at this, and see, if there is anything we are spending so much time, on that it is turning into an idol.  Strangely, I am even thinking of worry, how we can get consumed in the habit of it, and it becomes an “idol”  Lord, I pray this for myself as well, to be oh so careful, not to put anything above you.  In my relationship with you.  Yes, I know you are a jealous God, and you are teaching me what you like and do not like, in your beautiful personality.  I do not want to offend you.  That is why, I am so glad for your word, your truth, the holy gospel, the Bible, that teaches us all what you like, what your commandments are, and I know, as we take to heart, this, in obedience, it is only for our good, and does us all good.  Lord, I pray, never to offend you in this, thank you for teaching me your commandments, even at an early age.  To not have any idols before you.  Thank you, that my relationship with you, is based on what Jesus Christ did, and by his blood, I have access to your throne, in relationship with you.  I do not have to go through any rituals, but your love, and truth.  In Jesus name,  Amen

LET ME GIVE YOU REST FOR YOUR WEARINESS ~ By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

COME TO ME, ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND CARRY HEAVY BURDENS, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.  TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU.  LET ME TEACH YOU, BECAUSE I AM HUMBLE AND GENTLE, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.  MATTHEW 11:28-29

Father, especially mindful, in this Holy week, of the sacrifice, of you my Lord, Jesus.  I am reminded, of all that you suffered and went through.  For each and every one of my sins, has been taken to the cross.  And the plan, of the enemy has been defeated.  Even here, I rest and take a moment, and think of you, and speak to you from my heart.  For I do seek you, when I am weary, and when I have received my rest.  I seek you, because you are my Lord, and in your presence, is pleasures, forevermore.  Lord, when I cannot handle the cares, of this every day living, and I feel overwhelmed, I do seek you.  To relieve the pressure of life.  Yet, I have learned, to seek you, even more so, when all is well.  To maintain, my relationship with you.  You have taught me, to seek you, with all my heart, all my soul, and all my might.  And in this place, of seeking you, I know, that I know, all things are possible with you.  I am comforted, at all times, as I take your yoke, for yes it is easy.  I cannot even imagine, what life would be like without you.  Nor do I want to know.  I don’t know why someone would deny you.  But I won’t, for I know the difference.  For no matter what I may go through, I know, with you, all things are possible.  You have shown me, you are with me, you will not leave or forsake me.  Oh I take joy and comfort in that.  My savior.  You have shown me so very much Lord.  I Thank you Lord, for letting me bring my burdens, and my joy to you.  And because of that, even more so, I praise you.  With love, In Jesus name,  Amen

p.s.  I add this, as an afterthought, but do you see, in the scripture above, where Christ says, he will give rest for your souls.…Dear ones, I just sense, we need to all make sure we are right with Christ.  For our souls are at stake.  Be careful, and make sure your relationship, is right with Christ.  Before we leave this world…..for we never know.  That way you truly can “rest” assured you know you have a place in his kingdom, and in the book of life……

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A WAY TO STUDY THE BIBLE? PASTOR WAYNE CORDEIRO KNOWS HOW. (REVISED)

Wayne Cordeiro, is the Pastor of New Hope Christian Fellowship church, in Honolulu Hawaii.  He is also an author, of many books, his recent book is entitled:  The Divine Mentor.  I have not read it yet, but hope to acquire it.

I had never really ever heard of Pastor Wayne Cordeiro, before, but it does not surprise me, that God makes a way.

I heard of him through an e-mail friend, who also is a Christian writer.  Wes Suzawa.

Well brother, Wes, shared with me, that his pastor was coming to Colorado.  To visit, Cherry Hills Christian church.  I was unable to attend, the service, but I did take some time, and listened to this Pastors sermon.  Here from home, on my computer.

And I am so glad I did.  Because I learned something new….

I am writing about this gentleman, and man of God, because it is not every day, you hear or meet someone who inspires you.  And he inspired me.  The reason, he inspires me, is because for years, I have been trying to figure out a way, to study and read my Bible.  I have heard of many plans, but they just did not inspire me, enough, to keep at it.  I don’t know about you, but you want to learn Gods word, but you may not have that much time, or you get bored, and just not able to apply yourself.  I have read many books in the Bible, but then I get burned out, and don’t go to the other books of the Bible.

Well this man of God, has a method, that I want to share with you, and with others.  He calls it “Divine Mentors.”  That I believe, is truly God inspired, and to apply it, it just takes some discipline to do it, and a desire to know Gods word.  It requires you make the time.  It takes me, about 15 minutes, to a half an hour.  To do this method.  Basically I just get the required reading, (see Links below) document the chapters needed.  I study them, I read them, ponder on them, highlight them, and journal, my findings, and pray.  It is very easy.

To truly, seek God, to know him.  To know his word.  I find, first thing in the morning, I need to do it.  As my first fruits to God, being with him etc.  But you pray, and you ask God, for the time that is right for you.  But I have to say, I have already been applying this method, for over a week now, and I am so inspired, I know, that I will apply this method from now on.  To read my Bible, and so my Bible can study me. A thought and a quote from Pastor Wayne Cordeiro.  Meaning, Gods word, so lightens the way, that we cannot help to see it studying us, to see, if we are doing that which is right in the sight of God.

Pastor Cordeiro has it down so fine, that when he speaks, and he speaks about the 66 books of the Bible, and all the characters that God used to make examples in this word, of God.  They are now Pastor Cordeiro’s friends.  They are “Divine Mentors.”  In other words, by his system of studying the Bible, he has been able in so many situations, to implement, and use their situations to help him in life.  Because they come to life to him.  Which makes sense.  Because the Bible is the only book, that God has said, it has life.  Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the diving asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And the only book he ordained to speak truth from.  An example, I will use in this illustration, that made me laugh, and yet I saw truth in it, was Joseph from the Bible.

Joseph, became Pastor Cordeiro’s friend.  Well God bless this pastor, because one day, he was in a situation, where an adulterous woman, was tempting him.  Innocent, he did not see it at first, but then as the conversation continued he could see, he was being tempted. and he knew what was happening.  That old devil was trying to make him fall.  But out of the corner of his eye,  Pastor Cordeiro saw Joseph, running away through the halls, like in the Bible, and running from the adulterous woman, that was tempting him.  And Joseph said, “follow me”….and he got up and did the same thing, he ran away from her.  Now I cannot even begin to express it, in the wonderful animated way that he did.  Because it was hilarious.  But oh so true.  But you can hear it in the link below.

Anyway, if we could only apply ourselves to do the things God has brought, as examples.  Think of David, and how he defeated his enemies.  The giants.  Think of Esther, and how God used her to bless his people.  I could go on and on….

But I need to share with you, the method.  Of “Divine Mentors.”  To impart wisdom.  And what really impressed me.  Mr. Cordeiro’s method of studying the Bible, that he offers as a simple but practical way to learn Gods word;

Using the acronym SOAP.

Scripture, Observation, Application. Prayer.

As I listened to him, I could sense and see that Pastor Cordeiro’s heart, is so wise, through his studying of the Bible.  And I am someone, who has learned so much myself, from reading Gods word.  But I am definitely going to implent his method into my studying of Gods word.  I want to grow, I want to be wiser.  I want to please God, so very, very much.  It brought me structure, and a foundation, to apply myself.  Where I have been missing it for so long.  God’s word is so needed.  In all of our lives.  And we get so busy, that we put it off.

But really, if we do not feed ourselves Gods word, we are starving spiritually.  We are doing ourselves a disservice.  I could go on and on, about what this gentleman, brought in his sharing.  For, it was all so inspiring.  But God will do that, he will use people like my brother in Christ, Wes, or Mr. Cordeiro, or even the many examples in the Bible, “The Divine Mentors” to get us to a place where we can grow, learn, and be the best we can be, because God wants to teach us.  Because God loves us…

But we have to try.… Are you willing to try something new?  To get you to that place God wants you to be?  Personally, I think pastors, and churches, need to implement this.  And if you are reading this, I highly recommend you do so.  And contact Mr. Cordeiro from the links below.

Dear friends, as he reflected, and spoke, I thought, by the examples he shared, I would rather choose to learn the lesson first by Gods word, then to learn from the consequences.  I have reaped enough in my lifetime, from my mistakes, that I want to do it right!!

From now, on when I study the Bible, I will study it from this perspective.  With this my Prayer of Hope….

“Search me oh God, and know my heart.”  Lord, I let your word study me….to change me, to please you.  Because I love you Lord……

And I highly recommend, you take notes.

But you will be glad you did, it will make you laugh, it will make you think, it will inspire you…..

And then here I offer his link where you can begin to study the Bible with his group.  His reading plan.  I just pray, by sharing this, it will help you in your walk with the Lord, that it will also help bring some structure to your learning Gods word.

I Thank God that he used Mr. Cordeiro to bring this method, because believe me, I am going to implement it in my daily life.  To know Gods word more!  To gain true wisdom.  I am so grateful, that I met my friend in Christ, brother Wes.  So, I could hear about Pastor Wayne Cordeiro.  I feel like it was by divine appointment.  But,  I also want to be friends with God, I want to be mentored by the master, and the people he brings in my life, through his word and in this lifetime…..By God’s divine appointment.

This is divine appointment for you as well as you read this.  Are you going to let this pass you by?  Or are you going to seek wisdom from this method?  Just know….God loves you.  He wants you to grow.

And as I close I am thankful and in awe of God, for orchestrating this, and bringing me, to the new friends and this wonderful method, he has brought me from Hawaii.  Just makes sense, to learn a way to know God, and it comes from paradise……

THE AFFIRMATIONS OF THE LORD “GOD LOVES YOU~By Christian Author Elena Ramirez

Dear One,

As you read this, please know, God loves you.  I felt a very strong prompting just to write this today.  And I will repeat it.  God loves you.  In this world that we live in, we do not always hear, “I love You.”  Nor do we always have someone close to us to tell us that same thing, that we are loved.

But God loves you so much, that he stopped me in my tracks, as I am doing my household chores, and obedient to him, I tell you this….Because there is someone who is reading this, that being you, and you need to know this….You need to know it more than ever.  For whatever HIS reason is, he is telling you….“I LOVE YOU.”

You are loved.  You are precious in his sight.  He loves you so very, very much.  No matter what you may have done.  No matter what you are going through, no matter how great your trial may be in life, or loneliness, or lack, whatever it is, God is able.  He can heal you.  He can stop the attacks.  He is able to do far and above what you could even think or see.  He just wants you to seek him.  Obey him, and try….Yes, try dear one.  You may even think of giving up.  In whatever, but he does not want you to give up.  Try, let his love get you through…..This is about relationship not religion (rules made by men, organizations etc. )  So you need to know his love is not dependent on what people have done, or who they are.  This is about knowing God personally, and in his love, by his truth.

The key though, is believing, and searching for him.  With all your heart soul and mind.

This may be the very first time, you have seen or sensed his love.  But he does love you….his love is appearing to you, even as you read this….He is shouting it from the highest mountain…..

I love you….

He says so in his word….Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love:  therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

He is drawing you close to him.  Will you take the opportunity, to draw close to him as well?  And let him show and teach you real love?

If you do not know him, there is a Salvation prayer below, get right with him, and for those who know him, and love him as well.

The above scripture affirmation is for you as well.

A Prayer of Hope….

Father, bless the person reading this, to sense and feel and know your love.  For you have a wonderful plan for this individuals life.  If they just open their eyes to see and know you love them, a change can happen.  Let it be so, for you are wonderful Lord, I thank you for your love.  For by Christ, I have seen and recognized, how wonderful your love is.  So much so, that you sent your only son, for us, that if we believe, we will have ever lasting life.  In Jesus name.  Amen

Lord, I repent for my sins, as I come before your most holy throne.  You are God.  I am a sinner, who wants to be saved by grace.  I want to become your child.  I want to know you, and be near you.  And you near me as well.  Lord, I repent for my sins.  I want to learn of who you are, and do your will, and commandments, and your laws, I will keep close to my heart.  I will dedicate myself to reading holy King James word. Protect me, and guide me, teach me your ways.  Lord, I make Jesus Christ my Lord and savior, your son.  I believe, what John 3:16 says.  And that you sent Him to save me, and the world.  I want to live my life for you.  Break these chains off of me, so I will not be in bondage.  Break them off, and set me free, to see your goodness.  Get me near you, and I will be near you, always.  Lord, thank you for forgiveness, mercy, and love.  Thank you, for hearing my prayers.  And refreshing my life, in Christ.  Thank you.  I will serve you for the rest of my life, I will share, the good things you have done for me, for your glory, and I thank you.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

A Prayer of Hope Devotional

I feel led by the Lord, to write about the words that we speak.  And, how we look at ourselves, and others, by the words that we express in communicating.  The Bible tells us that we have power of life and death in our tongues.  Proverbs 18:21 states:  Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof:  So that tells me we have a strong weapon to either use for us, or against us.  And if the words we speak are so strong, that they can reflect life or death in situations, we really need to be careful about the words we speak.  This is a principle, established from God.  God wants us to learn to speak his word. To “affirm” who you are in Christ.  And to be mindful, of this principle, from this scripture.  Have you ever heard people who speak against themselves, or others, and then they wonder why they do not have blessings or achieve happiness?  Or even any kind of success.  Some may have been told since they were children, your stupid, your ugly, you cannot accomplish this or that, and so, this has been ingrained into a persons spirit, heart, and mind.  But there is a remedy and a hope to defeat this.  This can be broken off of someone, by the word of God.  Words that are not spoken in love, or that are negative, like this, can break a heart, and cause someone to not have any self esteem.  They damage a person, and can echo over and over again.  They are curses and not blessings.  God does not want any one to feel broken by someone’s words, that have been spoken, or by someone, who does not know to speak words of life.  And so, I feel led, by the Holy spirit, to begin, speaking “The Lord’s Affirmations.” Words from God.  That are his promises.  And adding them to my “Prayers of Hope Devotionals”, and to my commentaries, “Just My Thoughts.” So to make it short and sweet, todays scripture affirmation is from Genesis 1:27:

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. And God blessed them…….

A Prayer of Hope:

Father, with my spiritual eyes opened, I affirm and see that you are my Lord, my God, and that I am created in your image.  No matter what anybody may say, or speak against me, I cancel those words that have hurt me.  Father, and I myself, speak life over me, according to your word.  Lord, teach me to speak words of life, to speak carefully, even with a guard over my tongue, over others and myself, even stopping my words, if they are negative, or do not display who I really am.  For I am created in your image.  The beauty of it, is now reflected in my soul, spirit, and body.  I realize, that every promise you have made according to your word, I have access to, speak, and claim, because I see myself now created in your image.  It opens a door for such an understanding that is not beyond me.  WOW! Lord, I thank you for blessing me, for I now know, I am created in your image. And I thank you for blessing me. In Jesus name,  Amen
